PT Pelayaran Bahtera Adhiguna (BAg) has a main business segment as a supporting coal transportation company for PT PLN (Persero) and Independent Power Producer (IPP). The main task of this business is to secure coal supplies for coal power plant owned by PT PLN (Persero) and IPP. To support the mission of securing coal supply at the coal power plant, BAg has carried out coal transportation in almost all parts of Indonesia, including one of BAg's achievements is making the first transportation in a number of coal power plants. As in PLTU Holtekamp Jayapura (using vessel), PLTU Pangkalan Bun and PLTU Jawa VII, BAg has also pioneered the use of vessels and transshipment methods that can improve coal supply reliability, maintain coal quality and be more efficient in coal shipping costs.
